What do do you enjoy most about working at LSPA + The Ballet STudio?
The one thing that has always drawn me to The Ballet Studio at LSPA is the positive environment.
What experiences and knowledge do you bring to our performing arts school?
Not only have I been exposed to the many genres of dance at The Ballet Studio, but I’ve also been educated on the mechanics of the human body. Through my experiences with The Ballet Studio, I found my love for movement in Pilates. Pilates became a great injury prevention program for me as it works hand-in-hand with dance. I have been a certified Pilates instructor since 2002. I currently teach Pilates at LSPA and enjoy educating young dancers on how to keep their body in tip-top condition and stay injury free. I also help dancers develop correct muscle and joint strength and flexibility and keep them performing for as long as possible.
How have the performing arts impacted your life?
The performing arts have given me a true understanding of movement, and it has allowed me to express who I am as a person and an artist.
What piece of advice would you share with our students and families?
The Ballet Studio at LSPA offers the highest quality dance instruction for students of all ages. You will leave LSPA + TBS with a long lasting love and appreciation of dance.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I like to hike, kayak, fish, and go camping with my husband.
